The selection process will consist as follows.

• I st stage : CBT(Computer Based Test)
• II nd stage : Physical Efficiency Test(PET)
• III rd stage : Physical Measurement Test(PMT)
• IV th stage :  Merit List

Exam Pattern

The Examination Consists Following Pattern and syllabus.

I. For Sub-Inspector(SI) Exam: Objective Type

1. Name of Subject :  General Awareness ; Max. Marks :  50

2. Name of Subject : Intelligence and Reasoning ; Max. Marks :  35

3. Name of Subject :  Arithmetic ; Max. Marks :  35

Total Marks :  120; Duration : 90 Minutes

II. For Constable Exam: Objective Type

1. Name of Subject :  General Awareness ; Max. Marks :  50

2. Name of Subject : Intelligence and Reasoning ; Max. Marks :  35

3. Name of Subject :  Arithmetic ; Max. Marks :  35

Total Marks :  120; Duration : 90 Minutes

All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The computer based examination will be conducted in English and Multiple Languages.

There will be 1/3rd Negative Marking for each wrong answer

Qualifying Marks for Written Exam :-

• For UR Category - 35%

• For OBC/EWS category - 35%

• For All Other categories - 30%

Recruitment Procedure

(a) Applicants must submit their applications ONLY ONLINE via the RRBs' official websites. A candidate who submits more than one application will have all of them rejected and be barred.

(b) The recruitment process shall comprise of the following stages:

(i) Computer Based Test (CBT)

(ii) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

(iii) Document Verification (DV)

(c) Eligible applicants will get information on the test schedule and locations by email, SMS and RRB websites as it becomes available.

(d) Requests to move the location, date or shift or to postpone any of the phases, will not be accepted in every situation.

How To Apply

(a) In order to avoid errors, candidates should carefully read all instructions and material before completing the online application.

(b) Before completing this CEN, candidates must "Create an account" using the link provided on the official RRB websites.

(c) In order to get OTPs for account creation, they must have a working personal cellphone number and a valid email address. Changes to the information entered in the "Create an Account" form—including your email address and cellphone number—will not be accepted afterward.

(d) Only one application per candidate is permitted. Payment of the relevant examination fee is necessary. A candidate who submits more than one application will have their applications rejected and be barred.

(a) Applicants must correctly complete the online application form and double-check it before submitting.

(b) After submitting the application online, the applicant will not be allowed to make any changes.

(c) The candidate will be instructed to select the method of examination fee payment upon submission of their application.

(d) Lastly, approval of the online application will only take place upon receipt of the fee payment confirmation. 

(e) An email and SMS confirming the successful online payment will be sent to the applicant.
