SASHASTRA SEEMA BAL (SSB) is a border guarding force of India deployed along its borders with Nepal and Bhutan. It is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces under the administrative control of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

SASHASTRA SEEMA BAL (SSB) Release The Notification For Filling Up Of 272 Posts For  Constable (General Duty) Group C Non-Gazette, (Non-Ministerial) Category. The Total Number Of Posts In Each Specialization May Be Increased Or Decreased.

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age : 23 Years
• Age Relaxation limit for various categories :
• OBC(NCL)  - Age relaxation of 8 years. 
• SC - Age relaxation of 10 years. 
• ST - Age relaxation of 10 years.  
• UR - Age relaxation of 05 years.

1. Name of Post / Grade :  SSB Constable (General Duty) Group C Non-Gazette, (Non-Ministerial)

No. of Posts :  272   

Educational Qualification : 

• Matriculation or equivalent

2. Sports Qualification : 

• Players who have represented in any recognized International events representing the country.

Or

• Players represented a State/UT in the Senior or Junior level National championship

Or

• Players represented a University in an Inter-University competition,

Or

• Players represented the State Schools in the National Sports/Games for Schools.

Or

• Players awarded National Award in physical efficiency under National physical efficiency Drive.

SSB Constable (General Duty) Remuneration

1. Grade/scale : SSB Constable (General Duty) Group C Non-Gazette, (Non-Ministerial) Level-III

Scale Of Pay :  Rs.21700 - 3% - 69100

                           

SSB Constable (General Duty) Selection Process

The recruitment shall have following TWO stages:

• Stage-I for candidates with International participation/medal winners and National medal winner’s upto 3rd place.
• Stage-II of recruitment will be conducted for other eligible candidates, if vacancies remained unfilled after selection of candidates having medals/participations in International and medals winners in national competitions upto 3rd place.
