Indian Navy, The Indian Armed Forces' maritime division is known as the Indian Navy (IN). The Indian President holds the position of the Indian Navy's Supreme Commander. Commanding the navy is a four-star admiral, the Chief of Naval Staff. Operating extensively in the Persian Gulf, the Horn of Africa, and the Strait of Malacca, it is a blue-water navy that also regularly performs anti-piracy operations and collaborates with other navies in the area. It also often deploys for two to three months at a time to the western Mediterranean Sea, the South and East China Seas and both.

• Last Date to Apply Online : 01 January 2024
• Starting Date for Pay Exam Fee : 18 November 2023

Indian Navy Apprentice Age Limit (as on 18-11-2023)

• Minimum Age: 14 Years
• Maximum Age : 18 Years
• Candidates must have been born before 02-05-2010
• Age Relaxation limit for various categories:
• OBC  - Age relaxation of 03 years. 
• SC - Age relaxation of 05 years. 
• ST - Age relaxation of 05 years.

Indian Navy Apprentice Educational Qualification

1. Name of Post / Grade :  Trade Apprentice

No. of Posts :  275  

Educational Qualification : 

• The candidate passed Matric/10th class examination with minimum 50% marks from recognized Board.

AND

• The candidate must have passed ITI (NCVT/SCVT) examination with minimum 65% marks Aggregate.

Indian Navy Apprentice Remuneration

1. Grade/scale : Act Apprentice 

Scale Of Pay :  

• Rs.7700/- for one year and Rs.8050/- for two years of ITI certificate holders.

Indian Navy Apprentice Selection Process

The selection process will consist as follows.

• I st stage : OMR Based Written Test
• II nd stage : Interview
• III rd stage : Certificate/Document Verification
• IV th stage : Medical Examination

 

Indian Navy Apprentice Exam Pattern

The Examination Consists Following Pattern and syllabus.

For Part A:

1. Name of Exam :  Mathematics

No. of Questions :  20; Max. Marks :  30

For Part B:

1. Name of Exam :  General Science

No. of Questions :  20; Max. Marks :  30

For Part C:

1. Name of Exam :  General Knowledge

No. of Questions :  10; Max. Marks :  15

Total Exam Time Duration: 60 Minutes

All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type Questions in English Language.

There will be No Negative marking wrong answer.

Indian Navy Apprentice How To Apply

• Candidates have must and should register at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
• Before registration, candidate check the details like name and date of birth in both SSC or matriculation certificate and Aadhar card are must be same. 
• Now visit official apprentice portal  www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. web portal. Check the HOME Page and Click on Register tab and then click on  Candidate form drop down menu.
• Now registration page open. Fill up the all basic details like name, DOB, valid e-mail address, mobile number etc. correctly and submit. After submission registration mail will come to your registered mail and then click on the link and Activate profile to complete registration.
• After registration login to www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. web portal with the username (registered mail id) and password. 
• Now Enter your basic educational details, contact address, trade preference, Aadhar, PAN & bank details, community etc.
• Upload all required documents and verify Aadhar number. 
• Next step is click on Apprenticeship Opportunities in the home page and click on Search by Establishment Name from menu and enter NAVAL DOCKYARD (Establishment ID: E08152800002) in capital letters and select Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam.  
• A list of trades operated in Naval dockyard, Visakhapatnam will be displayed. Then select Apply against the desired trade and take a print out and forwarding to DAS (Vzg) along with application.
