- It is necessary for candidates to apply online at upsconline.nic.in. The applicant must first register on the Commission's website using the One Time Registration (OTR) platform, and only then may they proceed to fill out the online application for the examination. OTRs only need to register once in their lifetime. You can do this at any time of the year. The candidate can fill out the online application for the test right away if they have already registered.
- Once the candidate has registered on the OTR platform, they are only permitted to make changes to their OTR profile once in their lifetime. The ability to modify OTR profile data will remain active for seven days following the end of the application window for the applicant's first and final application for a Commission examination. Should the candidate register for the exam after the OTR has been registered, the deadline for modifying the OTR would be January 16, 2024.
- Additionally, as of the day after the application window for this examination closes, the Commission has decided to extend the opportunity to make corrections in any field(s) of the application form. This window will be open from 10.01.2024 to 16.01.2024, or seven days, starting on that date. During this time, candidates should log in to the OTR platform and take the appropriate action if they wish to make any changes to their OTR profile. Stated differently, it is not possible to modify the OTR profile through the application form's Modification window.
- Applicants must fill out the online application form, which consists of two stages: Part I and Part II, in accordance with the guidelines provided in the aforementioned website using the drop-down menu.
- Candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) [with the exception of SC/ST candidates who are exempt from payment of fee]; this can be done in cash at any SBI branch, with a Visa, Master, Rupay Credit/Debit Card, UPI Payment, or through any bank's online banking facility.
- A candidate must have his or her photo and signature properly scanned in a.jpg format before beginning to fill out the online application. Each file must not be smaller than 20 KB and cannot exceed 300 KB in total size.
- Before completing an application, a candidate needs to have their matriculation certificate ready. The candidate's name, mother's name, father's name, and date of birth that they enter on the online application form must exactly match the information on their matriculation certificate.
- In addition, the candidate must provide the details of one photo ID card, such as an Aadhar card, voter card, PAN card, passport, driver's license, or any other card that has been issued by the federal or state governments. The candidate will need to enter this photo ID's details when completing the online application.
- The candidates must upload a scanned copy of the photo ID with the information they entered into the online application. This picture ID will be used for all future correspondence, so it is recommended that the candidate bring it with them when they appear for exams, personality tests, or SMB.
- You can complete Part I and Part II of the online applications from December 20, 2023, to January 9, 2024, at 6:00 PM.
- The applicants must make sure that the email addresses they provide on their application form are valid and active, as the Commission may contact them electronically at various points during the examination process.
- Applicants are recommended to periodically check their email accounts and make sure that emails ending in @nic.in are sent to their inbox rather than the SPAM or any other folder.
- It is highly recommended that candidates apply online well in advance of the deadline rather than waiting until the last day to do so. Additionally, the Commission has included a feature that allows candidates to withdraw their applications if they choose not to appear in person for the examination.
