The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the NDA & NA (I) 2025 Notification to recruit 406 candidates for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA). Aspiring candidates can apply online through the official UPSC portal by 31st December 2024.

Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Candidates must be:
- An Indian citizen, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A person of Indian origin who migrated to India with the intention of permanent settlement.
Age Limits
- Candidates born between 2nd July 2006 and 1st July 2009 are eligible.
Educational Qualifications
- Army Wing: 12th Class pass from a recognized board.
- Air Force and Naval Wings: 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Physical Standards
Candidates must meet the physical standards outlined by UPSC, including height, weight, and vision benchmarks.
Application Fee
- General/OBC Candidates: ₹100
- SC/ST/Female Candidates: Exempted
- Payment Modes: SBI Cash, Debit/Credit Card, or Net Banking.
Centres of Examination
The exam will be conducted across multiple centers, including but not limited to Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Early application is advised as centers are allotted on a first-apply-first-serve basis.

- The written exam consists of objective-type questions.
- Candidates qualifying for the written test will proceed to the SSB Interview (900 marks).

Mathematics
Topics include Algebra, Matrices, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry, Calculus, and Probability.
General Ability Test
- Part A: English – Grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.
- Part B: General Knowledge – Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, Geography, and Current Events.
Salary Details
Selected candidates will undergo training with a stipend of ₹56,100/ month. Upon commissioning, officers will be eligible for Level 10 salaries (₹56,100–₹1,77,500) and additional perks.
