Selection Process

The selection process will consist as follows.

• I st stage : Written Examination(Objective Type)
• II nd stage : Written Examination(Objective Type)
• III rd stage : Written Examination (Descriptive Type)
• IV th stage : Interview Only For SO And Computer Test For ASO
• V th stage : Certificate/Document Verification
• VI th stage : Medical Examination

Exam Pattern

The Examination Consists Following Pattern and syllabus.

For Tier 1: Objective

1. Paper I :  General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension; 

Total Marks :  150 And 120 Minutes Duration

2. Paper II :  General Intelligence, Reasoning and Mental Ability; 

Total Marks :  200 And 150 Minutes Duration

3. Paper III :  English/Hindi – Descriptive Paper;

Total Marks :  150 And 120 Minutes Duration

4. Interview carrying 100 marks for the post of Section Officer (SO) only.

5. Computer Proficiency Test carrying 100 marks for the posts of Assistant Section Officer(ASO) only.

All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The computer based examination will be conducted in English only.

How To Apply

• Candidates to visit the Bank’s website https://www.csir.res.in/ and click on the option "APPLY ONLINE"
• Click "Register Now" and provide your email address and mobile number to complete the registration form. Enter the OTP to confirm both. Click "Proceed" to access the Registration page after verification.
• Following an online registration, the system will create a special User Name and Password and send them to the candidate's registered email address. 
• For future use, the candidate(s) must preserve their special User Name and Password.
• It is recommended that candidates carefully fill out and double-check the information provided in the online application, as once the "FINAL SUBMIT" button is clicked, no changes will be allowed.
• The applicant's name, as well as the names of his or her parents, should be spelled exactly as it appears on all certificates, mark sheets, and identity documents. Any discovered modification could render the candidate ineligible.
• The candidate or candidates must upload the necessary files, including their most recent color photo and signature, along with any pertinent certificates, documents, or testimonies. The candidate(s) must also, if applicable, pay the online application fee.
• The candidate or candidates must make sure that all the information entered in the online application form matches the corresponding documents, certificates, and testimonies.
• Candidates can upload their photo and signature in accordance with the guidelines provided on the application form's document upload page.
• Applicants can continue filling out the Application Form's remaining fields.
• To view and check the complete application form before submitting it in its final form, click the Form Preview button.
• Select the 'Payment' Tab and proceed with the payment, if necessary.
• Select the 'Submit' option.
